community workshops & projects
Workshops are what we do and we can bring a touch of magic to yours. Twenty years of delivering skills to community groups has taught us about the special alchemy needed to create awe inspiring art projects and produce artwork that captivates. Much of our work is bespoke and designed with communities and organisations to fulfill their aims and objectives. If a group has an idea we can help them transform that idea into a fabulous project of which they can be proud.
Variety is the spice of life and we have produced an enormous range of work. Challenging projects do get us excited and we have worked on a number of unusal pieces of work including anti-islamophobic textile installation Fatimas tent, facilitated the Chinese Community to produce a 30 ft paper dragon and made 64 digital stories exploring slavery to mark the anniversary of the abolition. It's boring listing our skills but I guess we have to so here goes.... podcasting, painting, sculpture, willow work, film making, photography, carnival skills and puppetry, clay, textiles, mosiac, animation, marketing and costume production. We can give you a quote and we bring all the stuff to you..the whole kit and caboodle.
If you need project management then don't hesitate to ask. Some real management highlights for Fiona include the cultural olympiad for Plymouth "The World at Your Feet", she currently manages community arts initiative Vital Sparks for Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Culture. Alongside that she has fourteen years experience managing community projects for the BBC and is always happy to help you scope out your unique piece of work. Karen too when not up to her ears in art materials has project managment experience and has produced the Big Dance and Illuminate and the Respect Parades.
